Dr. Lining Zhang is currently a Research Scientist at the Institute for Infocomm Research, A*STAR, Singapore. He mainly applies statistical machine learning techniques to various real-world applications, i..e, information retrieval, facial analysis, etc. After finishing his Ph.D. training in machine learning. Lining had many years of hands-on data science experience in both experiments and companies, e.g., the National University of Singapore, Agency for Science and Technology Research, Singapore, which brought him rich experience in big data analytics and large-scale machine learning, distance metric learning, text mining, multimedia retrieval, medical image analysis. Lining is a Member of the IEEE.
